The Perks of Being a Wallflower trailer (tumblr embedded.)  I don’t know if I like it.  The changed the delivery of ALL the meaningful quotes and added a character.  :/

starttofin asked: I also love john green (I assume most or all nerdighters do), but what makes you put looking for alaska on that list over paper towns? I've read looking for alaska, tfios, and paper towns (in that order), and found paper towns to be a bit better than looking for alaska, although I don't know where I'd rank it vs. tfios. Just wondering, I guess.

Looking for Alaska changed my outlook on life.  It is one of the few books that seriously shaped my life.  In many ways, I feel like Alaska, although I’m not like her.  I almost wish I was Alaska and I find myself hoping to be like her.  Not dying in a car crash drunk, or breaking my best friend’s heart, but I want to affect someone.  In the same way Augustus feels he needs to leave a mark, I feel that way, only on a smaller, more personal scale.  Looking for Alaska also made me start journaling my favorite quotes and seeing the book’s impact on me, it made me want to become a young adult author.  Because of Looking for Alaska, everyday I seek a great perhaps.

Sometimes, you read a book and it fills you with this weird evangelical zeal, and you become convinced that the shattered world will never be put back together unless and until all living humans read the book.

starttofin asked: harry potter aside, what are some of your favorite books?

Looking for Alaska by John Green, The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, and A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway just to name a few.
